No !! I won't fix your computer !

"Dude, my computer's busted, can you fix it?"

"Hey, do you know why my computer won't boot up?"

"I keep getting this same error message, what's the deal?"

Have you heard any of these before? Well I have, and if you have a hobby with computers or a Gamer or passionate about computers, chances are you have too. This may come as a surprise to many people, because they believe that if I cannot fix their computer, then I don't know a lick about computers. I'll get the usual responses:

"Aren't you good at it? Obviously not a very good one!"

"Don't people pay you to do this? You're the only friend I have dude"

All this time I've been passionate about "Computers", but I'm really just a know-nothing without a computer science degree. For a while I mistakenly believed this, and thought that I should know how to fix a computer. So, I started reading up on some troubleshooting practices and the like, but I did it because I liked it, not because I thought I should be doing it.

I spent a good part of my college years trying to help people with their computer problems, but then I realized something...I am neither a computer repairman nor networking consultant. I did not spend my time studying computer diagnosis, network troubleshooting, virus prevention/recovery, VPN thingy, Windows specifics, nor anything associated with computer repair. It was natural to me to get to the root cause. So get it through your head, I won't fix your computer!! So here's an answer to all the questions:

"Dude, my computer's busted, can you fix it?" - - Google "yourself" !!, Yes literally Google "YourName"

"Hey, do you know why my computer won't boot up?" - - Google your BIOS setting !!

"I keep getting this same error message, what's the deal?" - - Google the error !!

"Aren't you good at it? Obviously not a very good one!" - - Then "DIY" -- Bug off!!

LOL !! Did I actually write that..?? :D
